Google Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL Won't launch in India - Here's why

Share it:

Google will not launch both the Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL in India. They confirmed this in a statement addressing an Indian Publication.

Google has a wide range of products that we make available in different regions around the world. We determine availability based on a variety of factors, including local trends, and product features. We decided not to make Pixel 4 available in India. We remain committed to our current Pixel phones and look forward to bringing future Pixel devices to India.

said Google’s spokesperson.

Google mentioned that they took this decision based on various factors. They're unaware of the Indian Trends. Another major thing that blocks the path is the new radar-based Project Soli sensor, which is used for air gesture support and face recognition.

In the latest Pixel flagship devices, This radar-based sensor works in a certain frequency, which in India, is used for Military operation standards.

So, It's hard for them to get the proper authorization to release the latest flagship in India.

This is definitely a piece of disappointing news for the pixel users. Most of the people were eagerly waiting for an upgrade, but now they got no choice.
If you still want to use the device in India, You need to import and use it here, but which may affect its functionality.

That's all we got to share. Have a look at Google's live event highlights below.
